Over the past two years, our family and close soccer friends have been deeply moved by the kindness, care, and generosity shown by this community.
We appreciate the time and commitment to making it happen for the naming of Pollington Field. Each gesture has reminded us just how fortunate we are to be surrounded by people who lead with heart.
Graham believed deeply in community. He believed in showing up, giving your time, and standing beside others — which he did both on and off the soccer field.
A lifelong lover of the game, he also was a number one fan of Liverpool FC, not only for the football, but for what the club represented: loyalty, passion, and the belief that no one should stand alone.
Graham shared those values with others — while playing, coaching, officiating, administering, watching from the sidelines, or cheering people on.
The renaming of the North soccer field to Pollington Field is an honour our family will always cherish. It stands as a lasting reminder of Graham’s quiet dedication and love for the game.
Our hope is that every time players step onto the field, an official raises their whistle, a coach shares instructions with their team, they remember to be kind, give their best, support one another, and play with joy — lessons Graham lived by and passed along so naturally.
To everyone who organized events, shared memories, reached out, or simply took a moment to remember Graham: thank you.
Your compassion has helped carry us and transformed moments of reflection into moments of connection and gratitude.
As a family, we are continually reminded that love does not end — it lives on through connection, community, shared purpose, and the bonds we create together.
In that spirit, and in the words Graham held close, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
With much gratitude and love,
The Pollington Family
