I sometimes take for granted the ridiculously stupendous natural beauty that surrounds us living in Muskoka.
I’ve gotten used to the wildlife, the granite outcrops, the lakes, rivers, and forests during the spring and summer, and the lovely snowfalls during the winter.
But, each autumn the warm days and cool nights provide a spectacular show. Whether its the colours in the trees, the moon in a late day blue sky, the brilliant harvest skies that light up the clouds, or all of the above, it never gets old.
The other day my daughter and I went to our local soccer field to have a kick around and play one on one. The field is surrounded by the natural beauty that has people traveling here from across the globe.
But, then the moon was visible before night fall, the falling sun lit up the clouds in pinks and light reds, and my daughter looked up in awe. “Those clouds look like cotton candy.”
Yeah, they did. It was wonderful. Before continuing our modified one-on-one game (she beat me, legitimately 5-4), we stopped to take a few pictures of what we were surrounded by.
Here are the raw, unaltered photos . . .
