These tunes are what we’ve been heavy into during driving to and from soccer events.

With two kids training and playing indoor soccer all winter, we’re in the car a lot – and I mean A LOT!

And since we don’t want our kids staring at their devices the entire time, we all agree to listen to each other’s preferred songs without complaining about it (well, at least only complaining a little – hehehehe).

I mean, when I can sing almost every lyric of multiple Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Grace Adams, and Sabrina Carpenter songs, I get to make a bit of a fuss after a while.

I actually kind vibe to Olivia Rodrigo and Gracie Adams even when the kids aren’t in the car (shhh, keep that between us though).

And that’s one of the coolest things about everyone listening to each other’s favourite music: finding new songs we like that we may never have given a chance.

For instance, I like putting on Euro dance tunes (especially Italian ones) and now my daughter sings along to a few of them. She especially likes the DJ Matrix remix of Sarà perché ti amo and Voglio Tornare Negli Anni 90.

My son will listen to some 80s and 90s tunes and sing along, while he introduces a bunch of new school hip hop to us (though I’m still unconvinced anything will beat the 90s and early 2000s).

Meanwhile, my wife loves country music and I’m surprised how much each one of us now has a fave country song and artist.
