Ghouls, Goblins & Goodies

List of Halloween events taking place in Muskoka in anticipation of October 31

I’ve put a few choice community events together that are either free or are fundraisers for charitable organizations/not-for-profits that benefit everyone.

Nightly through Halloween

Haunters Bay Drive! Taking place at 280 Hunters Bay Drive in Huntsville, the event takes the evening of trick or treating to a fantastic level. The Haunters Bay Drive event will be accepting food donations for The Bay Food Crew and cash donations for the Bear With Us bear sanctuary, for future incarnations of the event itself, as well as any Halloween treats people would like to contribute for this year’s giveaways. The Haunting on Williamsport (379 Williamsport Road in Huntsville) takes place daily from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is by cash donation or non perishable food items to be donated to local food bank. Check out their annual outdoor haunted trail with treats and hot chocolate. Learn more at: https://www.facebook.com/events/488987977321229/?_rdr

The annual Tiny Tots Parade takes place in Downtown Huntsville from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Bring your little ones to the steps of Town Hall to meet and then parade Downtown Huntsville, visiting the merchants for some trick or treating! Visit: https://www.huntsvillebia.ca/halloween

Each day from noon to 9 p.m. Northern Escapades Mini Putt in Bracebridge is hosting their eighth annual Halloween Mini Golf & Trick-or-Treating fundraising event in support of the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation! 100 per cent of admission is donated to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation. Adults minimum donation is $10, Children minimum donation is $5. Community Living Huntsville is hosting a Halloween Party at the Huntsville Legion (second floor). Doors open at 7 p.m. There will be a DJ, best costume contests, and lots of fun. Learn more or purchase tickets at: https://www.clhuntsville.ca/news-and-events/community-events/halloween-party/

All Hallow’s Eve – October 31

The 29th annual Great Pumpkin Trail takes place October 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Pioneer Vilage at Muskoka Heritage Place. The community event is great alternative to having your children go door to door through busy streets in traffic, in the dark. Businesses decorate different pioneer buildings, dress up and shell out candy to the kids! Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family.

Happy Halloween All!

If I missed your community event that is either free or a fundraiser for a community group/charity/not-for-profit then please send it to chris@muskokaunlimited.com and I’ll add it!
