Defending Champs lose first game of season

The Muskoka Basketball League tipped off with some interesting results this week

The Muskoka Basketball League tipped off on its 2024-25 season on Monday, October 21 in Huntsville and Gravenhurst.

All eight teams took the floor with an eye towards starting the season off right!

In the Gravenhurst High School gym, the Huntsville Hurricanes overpowered last year’s champion Family Place Restaurant and Pizza to win 88-71 and in double overtime the 2023-24 finalist Clear lake Brewing Company walked off Fike Masonry on a last second shot to win 63-60.

Clear Lake Brewing has made three straight championship games in the Muskoka Basketball League. They were stopped from a three-peat last year, but a title run this year will give them dynasty status.
