More local OFSAA results including Track and Field and Field Lacrosse
Sydney Freeman won her fourth OFSAA medal in three years by winning bronze in the senior girls 400 m hurdles with a time of 1:02:60 at the provincial championships held in London last week.
It was a new personal best for the Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes Secondary School (BMLSS) athlete . . . and it set a new school record. Freeman also finished fifth in the 100 m hurdles with a time of 14.24 – also a new personal best and new school record.
Other BMLSS results at OFSAA included Ben Hewick finishing 11th in Junior Boys Javelin with a toss of 45.21 m, and Michell Jibb placing 12th in Novice Boys discus with a toss of 37.21m and 7th in shot put with toss of 12.36m.


Meanwhile, the Huntsville Hoyas Boys Field Lacrosse team finished fifth (out of 12 teams) at OFSAA with a 3-1 record. Avery Shirtliff coming in second in the points leaders with 15 points (11 goals and 4 assists). Owen O’Halloran was in the top 10 in scoring as well with 11 points (8 goals and 3 assists).
