It’s Pizza Time on the Hardcourt!

New champions crowned in Muskoka Basketball League

The three-peat was oh so close … so close that Clear Lake Brewing Company could taste it.

It was not to be though, as the hard-working and skillful team representing Family Place Restaurant & Pizza won this year’s Muskoka Basketball League championship with a 54-51 double-overtime win over Clear Lake in Gravenhurst on Monday night.

Family, friends and fans were cheering on both teams as they went toe-to-toe, trading buckets and defensive stands all game long.

In the end, it’s Pizza time in Muskoka!

Other action on the night included the consolation game between the semi-final losers, the Boone Plumbing Ballers and Fike Masonry, where the Ballers took third with a win.

“We would like to thank all the players, officials, scorekeepers, sponsors and fans for another fantastic season,” says league commissioner xxx.

For those interested, free pick-up games will be played at Huntsville High School for the remainder of the school year on Monday nights from 8 p.m. to 10 pm.
