Congrats to the Huntsville Sting U13 girls who won $100K for Food 4 Kids Muskoka
You’ve probably already heard about this, but last night a great group of girls from Huntsville saw their efforts over the past month and a half rewarded in a big way.
The 4560 Huntsville Sting U13-Black hockey team were announced as the winners of the 2024 Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup for their “dedication, commitment, and hard work” in making a positive impact in our community.

Even better is that they won $100,000 for their charity of choice, Food4Kids Muskoka, which is dedicated to fighting hunger amongst school children in need.
The Good Deeds Cup contest was a national competition for hockey teams aged U11 to U15.
To win the cup, the team along with their friends and supporters, had to perform and record the most “good deeds” from January 19 to March 3. The Sting did over 1,300 good deeds.
Admittedly, this means a little more to me as I have coached/continue to coach a handful of these U13 Sting players on our rep soccer team for several years and I’m so very proud of their selfless efforts. I can’t wait to see them at practice this week to tell them in person!
All of the parents, players, coaches, and administrators for the Huntsville Sting organization should be applauded for helping instill these community values into our youth.
Well done and congratulations!!!
