be prepared for spring flooding
Flooding is the most prevalent and costly natural disaster in Muskoka. Over the past few years, an increase in extreme precipitation events, especially during spring thaw periods, have caused various flooding events in Muskoka.
Even with a less than normal snowfall this winter, the threat is still very real and the District of Muskoka wants residents to be aware of the risks and how to handle potential flooding.
Many areas of Muskoka are prone to flooding; for more information and to find out what you can do, visit Be Prepared.
