Muskoka Basketball League results and upcoming schedule plus my NBA Fantasy Pool

Week 6 from the Muskoka Basketball League is in the books with the Boone Plumbing Ballers continuing their dominance to start the year.

The Ballers doubled-up the two-time defending champions from Clear Lake Brewing, 73-35, on November 20 in Gravenhurst. At 6-0 and rolling along, it’s going to take a huge effort from another MBL team to knock the Ballers off their perch.

Also in Gravenhurst, Family Place Restaurant and Pizza took down the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 60-44.

Meanwhile up Highway 11 in Huntsville, the Raptors 705 Unity Group edged out the Huntsville Hurricanes 74-70 in a highly competitive match-up to keep pace with the Ballers. The Raptors 705 team is in second place, one game behind Boone Plumbing.

In the other match-up of the night, Fike Masonry held off the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 65-59.

Up next on Monday, November 27, Gravenhurst High School will host the Hurricanes vs. Ballers at 8:05 p.m. followed by Family Place against the Thunder at 9:10 p.m.

In Huntsville, it’s Fike Masonry taking on the Timberwolves at 8;05 p.m. followed by Clear Lake and the Raptors 705 tipping off at 9:10 p.m.

NBA FANTASY POOL UPDATE

The Italian Mamba’s losing streak hit three weeks in a row after falling 6-3 to Sneak Fast in Week 4 and now sitting last in our 10 team league.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jordan Clarkson, Victor Wembanyama and Paolo Banchero continue to carry the load for my fantasy team. A few players are getting healthy, so hopefully things turn around quickly.

In Week 5, we’re taking on the team right above us in the standings – the SlightChancers – and hopefully we can get back to our winning ways. Though the SlightChancers do boast Nikola Jokić, who is a beast.
