Ballers Remain Undefeated

Muskoka Basketball League results and upcoming schedule plus my NBA Fantasy Pool

The Boone Plumbing Ballers are looking like the class of the Muskoka Basketball League as they remained undefeated by walloping the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 73-45 in Week 5 action at Huntsville High School.

While it’s still early, the Ballers are setting themselves up for a great season.

On the flip side, the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder aren’t bringing the boom at all, having started off 0-5 after nearly being doubled up in a 62-38 loss to the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial at Gravenhurst High School.

In other Week 5 action in Huntsville, Family Place Restaurant and Pizza took down the defending league champ Clear Lake Brewing Brewing Company 62-46, while in Gravenhurst Fike Masonry beat the Huntsville Hurricanes 45-37.

Up next on Monday, November 20, Gravenhurst High School will host the Timberwolves vs. Family Place at 8:05 p.m. followed by Clear Lake against the Ballers at 9:10 p.m.

In Huntsville, it’s the Hurricanes taking on the Raptors 705 at 8;05 p.m. followed by the Thunder and Fike Masonry tipping off at 9:10 p.m.

NBA FANTASY POOL UPDATE

I literally can’t buy a healthy player the past few years in my NBA Fantasy Pool.

Last week, the Italian Mamba suffered a ton of man games lost as my opponent Herbie Versdirtee blanked me 9-0.

In the loss, my top performers were budding superstar – and best Canadian in the game – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and this season’s Rookie of the Year favourite Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.

V. Wembanyama SAS – PF,C.391.813774391338.87

With two straight losses (is it a streak yet?), who knows what this week will bring as I take on perennial NBA Fantasy powerhouse Sneaky Fast! who is in first place and has a variety of multiple category performers in Tyrese Maxey, Jaren Jackson Jr., Cade Cunningham, and Zach Collins, plus Jakob Poetl doing his standard quality performances.

Stay tuned to weekly updates and eventually we’ll be getting some weekly photography for the Muskoka Basketball League as we move forward.
