Podcast: SPIN-tastic Interview

Evalyn Parry chats about her live show, it’s origins, coming to Huntsville, and much more!

The tale of Annie Londonderry, who was the first woman to ride around the world on a bicycle in 1895 (yes, 1895!) is explored in Evalyn Parry’s SPIN.

Billed as one part documentary and part musical activism, this performance promises to have a little something for everyone.

The show will have its first live performance since the pandemic on October 20 at the Algonquin Theatre as part of the Huntsville Festival of the Arts 2023 line-up. Tickets available at: https://huntsvillefestival.ca/event/spin/

History, song, a bike as a percussion instrument, and a passionate display from the wonderful Parry will enthrall the audience.

I had a chance to chat via Zoom with Parry about SPIN, where the idea originated, it’s popularity with live audiences, the upcoming show in Huntsville, and much more!
