Sandhill Nursery once again the place to be this Autumn with fun for the whole family
Our family makes an Autumn visit to Sandhill Nursey in Huntsville an annual affair to pick up a pumpkin, some gourds, occasionally a mum, and to enjoy the amazing displays and fair-like atmosphere.
The team at Sandhill continue to amaze with an ever-growing Fall Festival event that features plenty to see and do. As Kandis noted to me when we recently visit, “it gets better every year.”
From a kids’ magic show, to bowling with gourds, the annual maze, live music and so much more, the event also raises funds for Huntsville Hospice – both as you drive in and with contests like slinging gourds at targets to win a Sandhill gift certificate.
It’s also a great social event as we tend to run into wonderful friends and community members we don’t always get to see.
New this year – aside from the ever-growing festival – is a collaboration with the Huntsville Festival of the Arts on a series of concerts being held at Sandhill.
Stay tuned for more on that as I have an interview booked with one of the artists and have reached out to another one.
The Fall Festival runs until October 22 . . . so head out there today. Also, grab yourself some awesome gourds and plants to brighten up your home or cottage!
